The flexible DEIF iE Convert 125 power converter delivers highly efficient power conversion from a small footprint, making it an indispensable building block for a wide range of land and marine power conversion applications. It delivers 125 kVA of output power at 800, 1300, or 1500 VDC. You can combine up to 8 iE Convert 125 units to achieve higher power ratings.
Cost-effective and highly flexible
Close to 60% smaller in size in relation to IGBT based converters, the cost-effective iE Convert 125 is easy to fit into very small enclosures. This makes it a highly flexible device for customised energy conversion solutions in any land or marine power conversion application.
Grid-ready power from high-efficiency switching
The silicon carbide technology used in the iE Convert 125 can achieve significantly higher switching frequencies than IGBT devices. This means that the converted power is free from noise and can be fed directly to your load or grid. The unit comes with built-in filters that is adequate for most applications, and additional filters will rarely be needed.
Low energy loss
With the iE Convert 125, only 3-4% of the electrical energy is lost as heat during conversion at system level, compared to 6-7% with IGBT designs. This is possible because of the groundbreaking silicon carbide technology, and it increases the efficiency of transfer, storage, use, and sales of energy.
Several control options
You can connect to the controller of the iE Convert 125 via EtherCat to a DEIF controller, PLC or similar for power or energy management. You can achieve seamless PLC integration using our CODESYS platform, and you can use the MATLAB platform for simulation and verification.
